Common questions
Does Community really include HIPAA and SOX?
Yes. The full SapixDB engine — including HIPAA PHI encryption, SOX dual-admin, time travel, and chain verification — is available in Community. The only limits are 5 agents and 10 GB storage. This lets you evaluate on real workloads before any purchasing conversation.
What happens when my Free Trial expires?
The agent automatically falls back to Community mode — 5 agents, 10 GB. Your data is never deleted or locked. You just lose the higher limits and replication until you move to a paid plan.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Email [email protected] and we will issue a new key for your new plan. Downgrading mid-year: we'll prorate and apply the credit to your next period.
Is the license key tied to a domain or IP?
No. The license key is a signed JWT containing your org name and plan. You can run it on any infrastructure — cloud, on-prem, or local. The key is cryptographically verified by the engine at startup.
What does 'annual billing' mean for Starter and Professional?
You pay for 12 months upfront and receive a 365-day license key. When renewal is due, we send a reminder email and issue a new key on payment. No automatic recurring charge — you control timing.
Can I get a longer trial for a larger evaluation?
Yes — email [email protected]. For teams running a serious proof-of-concept we can issue a 60-day trial or arrange a guided evaluation with direct access to the team.
